Rocky Fork Creek OH/Seven Caves

Matt/Gary/Tad

July 11th 2011

Great trip down Rocky Fork Creek. Put in at Barrett's Mill and kayaked trough Seven Caves! We caught the water just right. It was running low at 200 cfs. We did not have to port none as we went all the way to Paint Creek and ran the chutes! Its a blast if you are wanting a little white water to add to a trip. As you come upon Seven Caves you will be blessed to see the beauty of all the rocks in the gorge. Once you enter the Seven Caves area you will have a section that drops along a high rock. Stay left and run the rock wall and go under and through the rock formation on the creek. Its great! The fishing was great as well. We caught several smallies! I would rate this trip a ten! PLEASE SEE MORE PICS BELOW OF SEVEN CAVES!

The Little Raccoon Creek OH

July 5th 2011

Matt/Christen/Gary

Great trip down The Little Raccoon Creek. Its amazing that so many people don't even know how great of a state we live in until you get out and explore the area. This trip produced well fishing as we caught all kinds of large mouth bass, small mouth bass, rock bass, and bluegill. The water was perfect. Had to get out and port around about five log jams, but the trip was worth it! Like to mention that this was the little girls first trip in a kayak on a stream. She did great! PLEASE SEE MORE PICS AT BOTTOM OF PAGE.

Put in just North of Caesar Creek Lake State park and went about 3.5 miles into the camp beach area. The trip was flat water all the way and the fishing was not good! Main trip was to hit the Little Miami, but was not able to go. Maybe next time!

Little Scioto River

Little Scioto River 6/16/2011

Matt/Gary/Tad

We put in on White Gravel Road and kayaked down to Kentucky Trail road. Its about four to five river miles. At the start of the trip we got to pet a baby beaver and then off in the water. This section was a little low considering the rainfall, but proved to be a good fishing hole as we caught about 25 fish. Please see more river pics below!

Salt Creek ohio 4/10/11

Put in North of Lond0nderry Ohio on State RT. 327 at 9:16am and kayaked just past Richmond Dale OH arriving at 5:00pm. The trip goes right through farm land with the hills off in the distance. This sections is great to fish if the water is right, not good today! The water on this section is great for a beginner ending with nice white water at the Old Mill Dam in Richmond Dale. As we came upon the Little Salt Creek we met five other kayakers that said they put in on Little Salt Creek. As you approach Richmond Dale be careful, and observe the white water. You have two choices either go left or right before the old dam. If you like a little white water stay left. WE WENT LEFT! GOOD LUCK! If you like a few ripples go right, but keep in mind that as soon as you come around in the middle you have to go over the Old dam section. WE MADE IT! Keep in mind that the dam has been torn down in the middle. SEE MORE SALT CREEK PICS BELOW
